Started and Seasoned Gundogs

We specialize in producing top quality personal gundogs for the avid upland bird hunter and "occasional" waterfowler.  A typical "started" dog is about 15-18 months of age and has one season of wild bird hunting experience.  A "seasoned" gundog is approximately 20-24 months of age and has two seasons of hunting experience.  All dogs go through extensive socialization, obedience training, yard work and field training on handling, marking, blind retrieves, multiple retrieves, memory, aggressive flush, trailing, steadiness to shot & flush, and honoring. We train our dogs using techniques based upon Mike Stewart's "Training the Wildrose Way".  We then top it off with hunting wild birds under real hunting situations. Nobody includes actual training on wild birds under actual hunting conditions as a standard feature. These dogs are tested in the real world on grouse, quail, pheasants, chukar and waterfowl.  We require all new owners to attend a one-day training session when you come to pick up your new hunting companion.  We do not ship our started or seasoned gundogs.  You must come to our facility to pick up your gundog and attend the training session. No exceptions!
